How Can We Help

The role of the BC Clinical Genomics Network is to assist BC scientists and clinical investigators to identify and exploit genetic factors involved in the development of, protection against, and treatment of genetic diseases for the benefit of patients, their families, and the health care system.

We do this by providing access to state-of-the-art genomic technologies and providing services in project co-ordination, research methodology, study design, statistical analysis, consent, ethics, and data management. These services are available to be used by both researchers and industry and we also provide assistance in choosing the most appropriate technologies.

Please contact our Network Coordinator for an initial consultation with information on the scope of your project including disease, type and accessibility of subjects, whether it is a pilot or larger scale project, requirements for sample taking, control group, specific technologies, assistance with ethics approval and consent process and funding status.
